“Eagle and the Chicks”? What is Kabaddi?

Kabaddi is a South Asian traditional sport played by two teams of seven and is very popular in countries like Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. It is also an official event in the Asian Games.

 

The raider aims to tag out as many of the defenders and return without being caught while the defender aims to capture the raider.

 

The game develops players’ physique, team work and strategy and brings a lot of excitement. Participants can:

  1. Train up fitness, strength and agility
  2. Learn about teamwork through collaboration and strategy with teammates
  3. Enhance multi-cultural understanding and cultural integration
