Creativity Programme

Nurturing Creativity

Our college mission is to cultivate creativity and enhance entrepreneurial spirit with social responsibility. A signature of the College is its Creativity Laboratory (c!ab), which is first of its kind in CUHK dedicated to creativity.

Students are encouraged to develop self-initiated projects with project grants and resources supported by the College; while our College has been actively collaborated with different organizations to hold a variety of programs and events to enrich students’ vision and knowledge on creative thinking.

Being keen on Hong Kong traditional culture, a group of students from c!ab spent a year searching for particular Hong Kong traditional crafts and held workshops presenting to the fellow students and staff. They also organized an exhibition name OLD HONG KONG at College Gallery to present all their craftworks created in the past year.

OLD HONG KONG Exhibition

OLD Hong Kong exhibition was staged in College Gallery to showcase Hong Kong traditional crafts, which included frame bags, traditional minibus signs, neon lights, film photos and tie dye cloths handmade by students. A video interviewing a master in neon light production was also featured.

A series of glass-tube-made neon light art decorations made by our college students were also showcased. They were the awardees of c!ab neon lights design competition. The awardees used the traditional technique to create their own neon light art decorations in a workshop and shared their design inspirations to encourage others.
